Art & Illustration
This page is a collection of the art I have created over the years. The first portion contains portfolio illustrations and designs from my application to and enrollment in FIT. The collection below that is my personal art, which is filled with anime, cartoons, sewing, and anything else that brings me joy. After that I have a section for miscellaneous advertisements that I felt did not need it's own projects page. Illustration is a big part of my life and I hope that my art connects to the people who sees them.
Happy viewing! :)
Illustration Class, Art, & Portfolio Pieces
These are traditional and digital illustrations, designs, and portfolio pieces I had created for/ in college. Although I have more pieces, these were the best of everything I had worked on.
Personal Art & Illustrations
One of the reasons why I had become an artist was due to being inspired by reading manga and watching anime as a child. I had also attended Art & Design High School for Cartooning and so I have a strong background and love for cartooning and illustrative work. Because of this, most of my personal art is centered around traditional illustration, cartooning, and anime. My most favorite mediums to use when creating personal art is watercolor, ink, and acrylic paint, although recently I've been trying to mix my traditional illustrations with digital design.
Miscellaneous Designs
Norlo Coffee Posters
I was tasked with creating 3 posters in class for the Norlo Coffee brand while using the official packaging. The idea I had come up with was to create abstract art in the background by using the logo and existing packaging design. I also wanted to take advantage of the "LO" at the end of Norlo in order to create "Nor-Love", "Nor-Lounge", and "Nor-Local".
Dollar Tree Advertisements
The project brief we had received in class was to entice more people to shop at Dollar Tree and display some items that could be bought at Dollar Tree. My idea was to create posters with dollars transforming into objects from Dollar Tree. Although not perfectly executed due to the fact this was a very early project of mine and the objects I could use were limited, I did enjoy this project a lot and was able to exercise my Photoshop skills.
Period On! - Reusable Menstrual Products
For this project we were asked to come up with a sustainable product that would fix a social or environmental issue. My idea was to create a machine that would dispense reusable period products and encourage more people to normalize environmentally friendly periods. The illustrations were all created by hand and was a way to represent diversity when it comes to periods. The machines would be placed in schools and or work bathrooms where they can be purchased.
Riot Energy Drink - Packaging Design Rebrand
This project was something that had actually involved our entire class. Our professor had a contact with an official energy drink brand and they needed help with research, design, and opinions since we were their target audience as well as designers. Together as a class we created a large Google Slides in which we meticulously detailed all of our research and designs. Although the entire class worked together, we also had our own separate groups, of which my group's manifesto was chosen for the slides to represent the class. In the end we had a big presentation with the brand/ clients where we shown our work as a class!
SnoCaps Poster
For this project we had to choose a candy brand to represent in an ad. I decided to go with Sno Caps and I wanted to point out how the "W" at the end of Sno was missing. These are 2 posters I had created for the project.
School Assignment - Exploring Memes
I was assigned this fun class project in which we were tasked with creating advertising memes for different brands. I don't know why but the Pope kept getting stuck in my head when I saw photos of his mantel flying around his face and I had to create memes centered around him. Here are the ones I had created, with a bonus Anime Kid one as well!
Ocean Acidification - NOAA
This was a class project in which we had to choose an environmental cause to create a pamphlet for. I wanted to speak on ocean acidification, which is the process of the ocean becoming more acidic and deteriorating (essentially melting) shells and killing coral and other sea life as a result. This pamphlet was watercolored by hand and then transferred digitally where I created the pamphlet on inDesign.
Sunrun - Throwing Your Roof A Goodbye Party
This class project for Sunrun (a solar panel company) was based on the idea of saying goodbye and breaking up with your old rooftop and making way for a new solar paneled rooftop.
