OVERVIEW
This was an assignment given to me in my VR class where we had to revamp the NFT selling website, Magic Eden. This website will be seen through VR headsets in a 3D space and the background would move with the user. I decided to go with a very vibrant color palette so that everything would look pleasant to the eye, and also help highlight the NFT art on the website.
THE PROBLEM
Magic Eden needs a fresh look for their VR experience that is colorful and fun, yet easy to view in a 3D space.
THE SOLUTION
Create a UX/UI redesign of a VR homepage, marketplace, and wallet for Magic Eden. Because I enjoyed this project so much, I pushed the project further by prototyping and creating additional collection pages.
MAGIC EDEN VIDEO
The music used in this video is: Folk Round by Kevin Macleod
This is a demonstration of the UX/UI for the Magic Eden app I created on Figma. I added in music for ambience using premiere pro.

ART DIRECTION
I wanted to go with a color palette that would make you think of fantasy, magic, and RPG games. To achieve this, I eye-dropped colors directly from the Magic Eden website and paired it with a painted fantasy background. The typography direction has a playful header with a modern type for the body which pairs well to make a sleek look.

HOMEPAGE
This is the homepage with all the different portals. The landscape is AI generated as I unfortunately cannot do digital landscape drawing YET, but I will master it one day.
LOADING SCREEN
The loading screen is an animated GIF taken directly from the Magic Eden website.
MARKETPLACE - COLLECTIONS SEARCH
COLLECTION PAGE
This is an collection page where you can see all of the NFTs available from this particular guild, past purchases, pricing, activity, trades, and other stats.
DIGITAL WALLET
This is the page where the user could switch between their wallets and or connect their wallet to their account.
OUTCOME + REFLECTIONS + NEXT STEPS
I didn't anticipate loving the process and outcome of this project. I had a lot of fun creating this fantasy landscape where I could let my inner gamer out. I wanted to give the user a sense of fantasy rpg while they were looking for NFTs. Although my views on NFTs differ from my passion for this project, I still enjoyed redesigning Magic Eden a lot. I think I will return to this project one day and fully flesh out the prototyping on Protopie if I had the chance. Overall this project was different from anything else I had ever worked on and I loved the process!
